Nice, i had to make this thread, to hear what u ppl have to say about the next installment. Now ive once heard it would be half online half offline, but i think this project is down. So, i thought about it, and what if Square-Enix decided to make downloadable dungeons and map spots for the game, it would be pretty amazing. New weapons and stuff like those... SO anyways, tell me how u feel about FFXII and tell me if u like my idea, or just tell me ur ideas!

From what I heard... FF12 will have some tie in to Final Fantasy Tactics advanced. I didn't play that game >_< but Square has accouned 12 will take place in the FFTA world. Apperently there will be no love interest in the story, but thats still up for grabs. There are not going to be alot of FMV's because square is going to use the game engine for most things. Vaan (Main char from 12) looks like a little... frutty if you ask me.

I think FF12 needs to be a bit darker... All the screen shots look like a beach party not an FF game..

I know! it looks too happy! I saw the trailer for it and even the music was happy...it needs to be dramatic.

I don't know anything about FF12 yet. I didn't search for it. Tactics you say? Wasn't that for game cube or am i mistaken? However i prefer dramatic music too.

It's realated to Final Fantasy Tactics because it takes place in the same world. That world being... um, well, I forgot what it was called. I used to know... ah crap. Oh well.
But I think it looks awesome. And not all Final Fantasy games have to be dark. Personally, I'm interested in this change. It's the only place that shows a world where everything doesn't look like everyone's going to die... If anything, I thought it looked a little like Star Wars. -_- I'm still looking forward to Final Fantasy XII entirely. I'm really excited that they're finally continuing it. I've been looking forward to new characters. And I don't even care that Vaan's like that. He's just bishy, which as everyone must remember, is what appeals greatly to the Japanese... especially the woman. But I think Ashe looks cool. However, I think Fran is going to be my favorite. I like the new races. I hope they're going to have more than one different race, other than Fran, join the party though. I wish it was going to be four person party, not three. So, that's what's making me hope that there'll be more than just four characters. But anywho, I'm looking forward to it very much! So much! |

No, Vaan (the main character), is human. It's just that he's bishonen, which means that he looks womanly. Feminine... it's something popular in Japan, that's where the inspirtation came from. Just because one like him has never been created before, doesn't mean he'll suck. He just doesn't look cool. The main character doesn't always.

Yeah. I don't think there needs to be a big love story, anyway. It's because Vaan thinks of Ashe as an older sister. And how many people want to get it on with their older sister? O_o Also, I know it doesn't mean much, but Vaan's like 17 and I think Ashe is like 23.

I haven't played that game, only FFTactics. If FFTA is somewhat of a "beach party" type of game, then they're probably working off of that for FFXII, rather than the original FFT, which contains a really dark storyline. |

Yeah....i think it's based off FFT...not FFTA...i hope...same world.
Neways...im all about the love stories...even if they arent completely explored (FF7). Also...about the Bishi deal...i guess everyone forgot about Zidane? He was very Bishi...but very, very cool. I mean...Kuja = Bishiest ever...but oh so awesome. I will miss a love story...but if the game is dark and serious...then that will make up for it. I dunno if i can handle another story like FFX-2. |
