lets run through the charachters:
edgar: funny, but not incredibly interesting locke: nothing good about this bravado terra: silly esper Sabin: big muscly lad thats good in battle. we likes him, so we do Setzer: in each FF there is a few really cool charachters. he is one of them. he gets my vote |

mav, there is no main guy in the game, to prove this theory, whichever charachter you want can run around the screen, as opposed to the 3D games, where only the main charachter can be seen

While I agree with that there is no main character in Final Fantasy VI, I disagree with your logic. Cecil was obviously the main character in Final Fantasy IV, but you could still switch which avatar you wanted shown on the world map.

I voted for Setzer. He is definitely my most favorite character. All of those other ones, with the exception of Terra, just seem plain and un-unique. I consider Terra the main character of Final Fantasy VI because a lot of the game is really based on her plus you start out with her. But yeah, Setzer is my favorite because of the long silvery hair, and heavy jacket and such, and his choice of weapon. I don't think there's another Final Fantasy character that uses cards as a weapon. I just think it's cool how he throws them and everything. Hell, if I could do that, I would.
